Pre-101 Information


The Pre-101 workshop is required of students who do not score high enough on the Algebra portion of the COMPASS MATH test in order to take the MATH 101. The Pre-101 workshop is NOT a prerequisite for MATH 100. Listed below are the particulars for the Summer Pre-101 workshops and the Fall/ Spring Pre-101 workshops.


FALL/ SPRING
During the academic year (Fall/ Spring), Pre-101 meets 5 hours per week according to a set schedule. Students are required to register for 2 sections and attend both sections. Attendance is required and any student who misses more than 6 class hours will be dropped from the workshop.

REMEMBER: You must pick and attend 2 sections. Seats are limited to 21 students per section.

Registration for the workshop is held during the regular College registration period. At the time you pick your sections, you will be required to sign up for an orientation at which time the rules and guidelines of the workshop will be explained. Any student who misses their orientation will lose their seat in the workshop and will need to wait until the add/ drop period to see if a seat is available. Orientation dates are not scheduled yet, but they are usually scheduled for the end of June, beginning of July, end of July, and beginning of August.
