Pre-101 Information



Do you need to take the Pre-101 workshop so that you can take MATH 101?
We have a free workshop that has been set up using the multi-media materials in the Dolciani Math Learning Center.

How will it work?
The instruction is based on a computer-tutorial package called PLATO and video supplements. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE COMPUTER LITERATE TO USE THE PLATO PROGRAM - in fact, all you need to do is type your name and you are all set. With this approach, you will be able to see what topics you know and skip over these, and concentrate on topics for which you need help.

When is it offered?
The workshop can be scheduled at varying times of the day or evening (Monday through Saturday) depending on your schedule, but you will need to commit to four hours per week.

See the receptionist in Room 300HN before registration begins for an appoiment for an orientation or contact Mrs. Barone at bbarone@hunter.cuny.edu. The workshop is one semester long.
